A Kansas native, W. Mitch Yung operates a full-time ceramic studio in the Branson, Missouri area. He builds on a body of knowledge earned at Kansas State University (Bachelor of Fine Arts 1989) and Arizona State University (Master of Fine Arts 1991). He has extensive, practical experience working with various claybodies (stonewares, white and red earthenwares, porcelains) and firing techniques (reduction firing including salt- and wood-firing and oxidation). His current body of work focuses on sculpture, including wall sculpture, and decorative objects.
